1. Why Parents Divorce:

Parents divorce because they don’t love each other or can’t get along together.

They might yell at each other and have violent fights. Others fight silently but do not talk to each other.

You might cry that one of your parents moves away.

2. What About You?

When your parents divorce, it is natural to feel sad / angry / afraid / confused / ashamed / guilty / relieved / worried about who will take care of you. You can share your feelings to people you trust.

The more you don’t share your feelings, the more angry and sad you will get. You may hope your parents will marry again, but divorce is final. Most parents don’t get back together again.

You can still love both parents; that doesn’t change with divorce.
